Battery Life and How to Live It

I've got an unusual battery problem going on with my Pixel 3a.

The phone will not take a charge from a charger docked to USB-C. The USB-C port in the phone works fine with a standard USB dock, however.

This is a pain in the ass because I've had to purchase a new charger from the Verizon store, and one that charges slower than a true USB-C would. I don't want to go through a warranty replace because my carrier would only give me something refurbished outside of the 14-day new purchase window.

Anyone have any idea why this is going on? This phone is less than four months old and in great condition.
