Stereotypes in Movies & TV

Stereotypes have long been a staple in movies
as time passes, the type of stereotypes that are introduced can change
it could be a person
or an idea / theme
what are your favorite, or least favorite film stereotypes?

Most Favorite: Asian with spiced up car
Least Favorite: Low-Maintenance Baby

There are few things I hate more in movies than the crying, screaming, nagging wife character. I can’t believe it’s still cropping up; First Man and Ford v Ferrari are two recent examples. It evinces such a weird, warped outlook from the filmmakers - men trying to do great things while their domestic ball-and-chains try to hold them back. It’s so fucking stupid.

The manic pixie dream girl isn't as prevalent as it was fifteen years ago, but it still crops up. Fifteen years ago, I fell in love with that character every time, now I'm just annoyed by how lazy and misogynistic it is for the writer

I’m pretty tired of the whole stereotype of the half-wit who goes on to do incredible things like run across the country, win a ping pong gold medal, start a shrimping company, etc.
