Any folks from SD here? Looking for recommendations on areas for hotels. Thinking Pacific Beach.

I'm from Tucson, AZ and I'll be there. I go to SD quite often. Depending on how long you stay, you may want to look into a rental condo or house. They get pretty cheap in November, that's what I usually do when I go. I've used VRBO.com with very good results. Just my two cents.

I usually stay in Pacific/Mission area, just because I have a couple friends in the area. 3 days is usually what a lot of the rental homes/condos want you to stay for, at least on the weekends.

this will be my second trip to san diego to see the band. if it can somehow beat 2006, this show will be top 3. i look back on that 06 show and realize that 10 avocado songs were played that night, but it never felt like it, even when i listen to the boot. i'm really looking forward to this one.

the '10 show was great but it felt like the band was trying to beat the '06 show and overall it fell a bit flat.

i've got '06 as top 5 of my over 40 shows. will be tough to beat
