Post here when you hear a lyric wrong, and even better when you've heard a lyric wrong for years, and finally realize the truh.

For the longest time I thougt that Bulls On Parade started with - Quit It Now!

I have always heard "Yesterday I woke up sucking a little more" in Radiohead's Everything in its Right Place.

So as far as I'm concerned, that's the correct lyric.

I had a Ten edition without lyrics. So for a looong time i sang Alive like this

Sorry you didn't see him
But I play guitar


Which i thought it was super weird.

When Metallica’s black album came out my brother thought “Sad But True” was actually a song about Desert Storm called “Sand Patrol.”

My friend and I got in an argument years back about the opening lines to Norwegian Wood. I was right. But he swore the line was "I wanted a girl or should I say she wanted me."

This is actually probably not the right thread for this but I couldn't find a "lyrics you thought you misheard but really didn't" thread so I'm putting it here.

When Quick Escape dropped, I thought Ed was trying to say "Sleep sack in a BioVac" (which is idiotic but you know Ed) but he was just mispronouncing the word. And I was like, why is he saying BioVac like "beaver whack"??? It was infuriating.

Then I saw the line and it all made sense. I was hearing him correctly the entire time I just assumed he was being an idiot. But he wasn't. It was me the whole time!

Drive-By Truckers, "Let There Be Rock": I thought "Dropped acid, Blue Oyster Cult concert, 14 years old," was "Dropped ass at the Blue Oyster Cult concert..."
