Everyone’s favorite scoundrel Lando Calrissian will return in a brand-new event series for Disney+. Justin Simien, creator of the critically-acclaimed Dear White People and a huge Star Wars fan, is developing the story.

Didn't see Donald Glover's name. What do we think about that?

I figure Glover can do 16 episodes worth of shows in a year.

I got the impression that writing directing producing and starring in Atlanta took total commitment from Glover and that the amount of time between seasons was because of he couldn't fit it in due to other projects. If my impressions were correct and Lando meant Atlanta had to be pushed or something I would prefer Atlanta. But yes if he can do both great. Atlanta is a special show.

I have a feeling the Disney can offer him enough money to break him out of that lazy, whiny funk.

Yeah, Donald writes, produce, acts and sometimes directs Atlanta. He cant do both at the same time, so fuck off Disney. Grab another actor for this one.

Its taking time from Donald to put into Atlanta or other more interesting projects. I dont want him to be involved in this one. MOAR ATLANTA

I def do not need a lando spinoff.

He is a great side character. One of the best. He is not worthy of a lead role.

In TRoS, old lando spoke of adventures with Luke post-RotJ. Those are the only stories I want but they wouldn't be able to have the actors to do it, so I'm not so sure this one will be interesting.
