The Song that Best Represents a Band/Artist

The job is to post a song that best encapsulates or reflects a certain band/artist's "sound" over the course of their careers. Music may change and evolve over a band/artist's career. And picking a song from the first album of a band/artist's 10-album catalog may not tell the complete story. In that case, we need the one song that is a perfect amalgam of the band's career and has elements of their early sound and where they are at today. The song needs to represent the entire career, and not any one point of it. And it doesn't have to be the band's best song, or it's most popular.

I'll start, and I'm sure some will have issues with these off the bat:

The National

Runner up: Terrible Love; Don’t Swallow the Cap

The War on Drugs

Sigur Ros
