Re: Yellowledbetter moved in set list
I think people associate it too much with the end at this point. It could be cool. But I think a lot of "major" fans would ultimately end up turned off by it.

Man of the Hour-Go-Crazy Mary?
I can't get on board with those runs. That's a pacing disaster.

Re: Yellowledbetter moved in set list
I'd like to see it moved up in the encores, similar to where it was in 1993 - 1994, when they would play it at any point in their encores. It wouldn't work as an opener AT ALL. There are only two songs that can work as openers or closers, and those are "Release" and "Long Road". You could make an argument for "Porch" too, but I never liked that song as an opener.
I'd love to see them close a show with "Porch" someday. I'd also love to see them play "Yellow Ledbetter" and then, just when everybody thinks the show is ending, bust out something like "Alive" or "Baba O'Riley" (they did this a few times in 2000 and 2003) that would really bring the house down.

That is my ultimate Piss Break. Throw in Just Breathe and I could have dinner or a lie down.

Re: Yellowledbetter moved in set list
I guess they like to mix it up regularly. I can image that playing the same songs at the same point in a set list, over and over again, could get pretty grating for them.

I've also thought of them beginning a show with Yellow ledbetter. I think they would have to play it differently than normal, without the rambly end-of-the-night vibe.
Naturally, the show would have to end with Release.

Never say Never with this band... and, I could see YL someday as a one time opener just for the fuck of it? (maybe when theyre playing the same city multiple nights in a row)
but it works way to well as a closer...
I still love the feeling ya get when ya hear RITFW/YL to close a PJ show
its just good vibes all around
