Some folks definitely heard it. There are people reacting to it on Facebook. Or they're a bunch of liars.

Is either one a spacy, experimental multi-dimensional return to form?

I heard about 60 seconds before having to leave. Sounded like a mid tempo song, maybe even a little slower. Hard to hear much though.

I kinda expect them to bust out some new covers, so I would imagine there's a good chance that what at least one of the "new" songs is.

They'd be lying if they said a Who cover was a 'new song'.

well. I did hear it..but like I said it was a bad recording.
You couldn't hear much vocals or lead guitars. Mostly bass and drums, but it sounded a bit more experimental. Interesting drum patterns. But based on that recording I could still be the next 'Unthought Known'...

Hope they will play it live this week, then we'll know more...

Wasn't it just fans overhearing a rehearsal? If it's a cover (of anyone) that they didn't recognize they'd probably just assume it was a new song.

That is true, my bad I hadn't considered that.

Did I ever tell you guys about the time I snuck into the Detroit 2000 soundcheck and they played a sped up Release? I bet it sounded like a new song from outside the venue, but it's never made it into a set, so I guess they were just fuckin around.
