I love that the fighting sound effects are the same as in the latest mortal kombat game.

Why is it that Mortal Kombat movies are the only video game movies that resemble the games they are based on?

Fuck, movie theaters here have been closed since Dec and aren't going to open anytime soon. Probably will miss its entire theater run by the time things open again.

i saw the original in the theatre and took my then little brother to see it, his first time in a cinema. He went bonkers. Like it was the best movie.

I might tell him to go to see this one, 26 years later.

So the early reviews for this have been.....alright. Gives me hope - as does this line from a review 'Sometimes, you just need to watch a movie where a character freezes another one’s blood and stabs him with it'
