All Night is a fun song, and from an era where Pearl Jam struggled a bit with songs that weren't required to bear the weight of the world. I really like it. But I adore Sleeping By Myself. It is one of my favorite PJ songs of the modern era, I listen to the lightning bolt version so often I actually forgot how great the Uke Songs version is. This was my first time listening to it in quite a while. I wonder if it's better. An easy vote either way

I used to quite dislike All Night, largely, I think for the aforementioned fact that it wasn't trying to bear the weight of the world. It's grown on me a lot and gets my vote.

I would have struggled with All Night in 1996 had it been out back then. By Lost Dogs I was starting to get over it (plus I think it is much more successful then some of the other attempts from that era like the Yield b-sides). But in 2021 I am long past that thinking

I went with All Night. The full band version of Sleeping By Myself may be my least listened to track off a PJ album. I loved Ed's version, and it made it very difficult to get into the full band version. Plus, I've always been annoyed that they took this Uke Songs track and gave it the full band treatment to add another track to Lightning Bolt. Feels lazy.

All Night. Great experiment with the layered vocals, and its loose feel that would have fit in an album known for having no code.

All Night; was a great opener to Lost Dogs. I love Jack Irons manic monotony, the spitting vocal on the bridge, the Eddie chorus at the end; it's a track with a lot to it for being a fairly straightforward rocker. I'm not sure I've returned to Sleeping By Myself in years, to be honest, before this. It was, and remains, a fairly cloying, anodyne track.

Am I voting for the Lightning Bolt or Uke version?

Vote for Uke SBM. (I also like the band version but not as much as All Night)

I like both songs (esp Uke version of SBM). But All Night far better, I think.
