Mankind vs. Gremmie out of Control

Fun fact - I would vote against every single song in every other matchup this round over either of these.


They are both fun songs I used to resent when Pearl Jam wasn't supposed to be fun (though Gremmie at least was over the top absurd). But Gremmie has always felt like a gimmick, and I enjoy mankind for what it is these days.

I like Mankind a lot, and never really felt like it disrupted the vibe of No Code. From Habit to Off He Goes to Lukin to Who You Are, by the time you reach Mankind you're already pretty accustomed to a record volleying between some strikingly different styles and moods (that hang together surprisingly well).

Mankind should go up against Don't Gimme No Lip.

Stip should use his powers for good to make sure bad songs don’t advance just because they randomly go up against a worse song. Meanwhile I Am Mine is going home. A little back room bracket jiggering wouldn’t hurt anyone.

I'm assuming the matchups were randomly generated? Because yeah these two are turds relative to some of the songs that are being bounced due to tough matchups.
