Looking back on it, I think this may have been the first "new" Pearl Jam track I ever heard, and I loved it to death. Maybe that helps explain the sort of strange relationship I have with their catalog.

My first "new" Pearl Jam song was NAIS. I mean, I was aware of Given To Fly as the new pearl jam song when it came out but I hadn't fully turned into a big fan until Yield had been out for a few months.

My first "new" Pearl Jam song was Go. I haven't looked back since.

I love this song. I didn't even know about it until I heard it on Lost Dogs, and I instantly liked it. Basically, these guys could do no wrong from 1994 to 2000.

I love this song too, stones 'cowabunga!'s' are a thing of beauty. I tend to love all if their 'silly' tracks; this, leatherman, hitchhiker, whalesong, happy when I'm crying, don't gimme no lip ( which I recently decided was awesome) . Now that would have been a cool weird ass pop record.

Also mym was my first official hearing a new PJ song. :o Unless of the earth counts.

Man, Harmless is going to pissed when he finds out that's Brendan O'Brien playing lead guitar in this song.

I enjoy this song for what it is, but always think of this shirt first and foremost when I hear it...

Image

I remember we sold that at the record store I worked at, and I used to think "Wow, that's a terrible fucking t-shirt, but there really aren't a lot of different Pearl Jam shirts these days so I guess I get why people buy it."

Imagine that. Once upon a time there weren't a lot of different Pearl Jam shirts you could buy.

I love this one...Stone vocals are great, and that surf guitar, yeah Brendan rules on that.

Same here. I can't listen to this song without this image in my head.

Fun tune. Was Mike even present for this recording?

I consider it nearly criminal that this song has an official thread and Leatherman doesn't :cop:

I heard they reworked this for the new album. New working title: "Two Year Old Out of Control'

I didn't know it was BO'B, but I didn't assume it was PJ. I guess I don't mind if what's happening is cool. Anything involving surf guitar is going to be something I'm fine with.
