I genuinely don't know how to vote here. Angel is another early 90s gorgeous performance from Eddie, and the way he gives words like tortured so much depth and resonance never ceases to amazes. Such a little gem of a song for fans to discover.

I've always enjoyed the Out of My Mind improv, but always treated it like a fun one off. I had actually never heard that Philly version before, I don't think (or if I had I had forgotten it) and I was just so utterly charmed by how good it was. It's not like it seems like a hard song, but that's a 15 year old improv, and it felt like they just played it the night before. I can't think of too many times late period pearl jam had managed to sound like early period pearl jam so convincingly. that was a blast to listen to, so much so that I almost want to vote for it.

I mean I think I HAVE to vote for Angel, but since I am confident it's going to win, and I will happily vote for it in the next round, I'm going to throw some love to Out of My Mind

This is actually a pretty even match. Going with Angel.

I don't think either of these are great, but there's a pained, ethereal quality to Angel that makes me think they tapped into something special when they wrote and recorded it.

I just listened to the Spectrum shows last week and was reminded how shocked I was that night when they played it and nailed it. There's also a bit of nostalgia attached to having that Not For You single and getting it as the b-side. That was more or less the first time I became aware that I should be looking for Pearl Jam songs that weren't on albums.

Angel is lovely. Either is a fine winner here, but I'm voting for OoMM.

Angel is an amazing, underrated song. Man, I hope it wins. It would be nice for it to win one Match Madness match for once.

super tight....i do love Angel and its a very special song for sure. But im going for Out of My Mind.
