This is close but Tarantino and Oldman over Spielberg makes it Ello for me. The other picks kinda cancel each other out. Great teams.

Oof, I hate Tarantino, but I think I prefer the rest of Ello's list.

Tough one. Hard to go against Good, Bad and Ugly and Raiders.

KB vol. 1 is a curious choice. I adore vol. 2 but don't think about 1 much at all.

I can't decide.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Not enough Budd, and I'd take that brief but brutal trailer fight scene with Hannah over all the long, ripped off kung fu stuff in the first. It's really not even close.

And that whole buried alive scene...just great.

I love them both, but the drawn out section leading up to and with Bill at the end takes part 2 down a notch for me. I don't care how derivative the fight scenes are in part 1, they work perfectly for me. It's kinda Tarantino's thing.

Amazing sequence. I first saw it in the theater and was giggling at the darkness with sound effects and her redemption had me in tears.

What is with people picking a director and then also picking one of his movies? What's the point of the director pick??

Ello takes this but it's closer than it should have been, really like bada's last four picks.

I was struggling with this a little and it's been talked about in the main thread. To me, you're picking the director's style with that pick, not all of their movies. But I did try to avoid it, just couldn't help myself in the end.
