No need to retrack or reduce. Its basically an EP in length anyway.

That being said, had the following happened, there'd be a lot less backlash:

1) put it out there less than 3.5 yrs after S/T
2) put a "meatier" follow up out there less than 2 yrs after

Both of those would have made the final product more palatable. That was a long slog on both ends.

They don't seem to have it in them to record a bunch of new songs and just put them out there. I wonder how much that has to do with the ridiculous time-between-releases vs. actual-music-released ratio of the last decade.

Maybe there are more ambitions towards great releases than the actual manpower to get it done? It does seem like the ambitions of the 10C have become pretty much unmanageable in plenty of areas. They want to be this megalithic marketing machine but often fail at it.
