what ever happened to them? if i recall correctly, the press release in 2009 said that by 2011 all the albums would be reissued in deluxe packaging and so on.
its 2013...
i havent followed the band in a few years; just saw them for the first time last year after being a fan for 10 years. but i dont think they've ever said anything as to why no code up to at least riot act hasnt come out.
the vinyl reissues sound great to me and i'm trying to hold out on buying the originals because i'm hoping the reissues are just around the corner. i mean theyre just getting to the good stuff!!! who wants to pay $100 or more a piece for no code and yield when we can get the reissues for $25?
anyway, sorry if this has been discussed.

I'm on that same boat.
I just got the Ten, Vs. and Vitalogy vinyls... Can't wait for the next batch.

Yup I remember reading that too.
They should know their fans love looking back.

I heard something along the lines of this. I would guess it would be hard gruelling work having to go back and listen to all of the b-sides, and remaster the album, especially on albums that may have been gruelling work in the first place.
I did also hear a rumour that they may be just waiting to the 20th anniversary of each album. This may be procrastination, or more of an attempt to let each album have more of a 'legacy' first. If that's the case, we'll have to wait another 3 years before the next one.

I've got an original issue vinyl of Riot Act, I bought it not long after the CD was released for about $30 new. I've no idea what it's worth now, but I don't care. I love this album on vinyl, because this is one of my favourite albums, and it's just beautifully mastered. To me, this album was made for vinyl.
The only thing is, I just hope the reissues are properly mastered for vinyl, and not just a directed CD port like PJ did with ST and BS.

I was really hoping for re-issues of No Code, Yield and Binaural. Those are the only ones I don't have on vinyl and to try to buy them on ebay is crazy expensive.

I want extras for the remaining albums and lots of them. Studio outtakes, demos. They could do a lost dogs single disc or vinyl for each album from here on in. Plus a show, audio or video.
The one exception is I'd like a remixed ST with all the above.

Yeah, like the 2013 version of this band would embrace that side of themselves.

I would consider selling certain body parts for Binaural on vinyl... Remixed or not

Since they've never done a vinyl specific master I don't see them starting now. As bad as compressed to shit cd's sound, compressed to shit vinyl sounds 10x worse....all the harshness with more of the muddiness.

I believe plans of changed. And, I'm kinda glad, that would have been a mighty expensive 2 years.

Jeff said they were going to rest a little with those reissued. So No Code will have to wait.

Was also hoping for a reissued No Code and Yield package w/ b-sides, newly release live show from that time period, etc. Arguably my two favorite PJ albums. Maybe in 2014....
