March Madness 2022 - Release Wins!

Welcome to March Madness 2022! We are doing things a little different this year:

1. The last 7 winners are removed from the primary tournament
2. The winner of the primary tournament will face the last 7 winners to determine the final 2022 champion
3. To create more interesting matchups all rounds will be randomized
4. Rounds 1 will consist of three song elimination matchups – the top vote getter of each match advances
5. Rounds 2 and on will be one on one matches
6. Each round is open roughly 24 hours, depending on my ability to close out a round and set up the next one
7. Tied matchups will remain open for a pre-determined period of time announced at the close of the round

I propose the first round of the champions tournament be a round robin style deal. The 4 songs with the best records after that advance, then we do head to head #4 Vs. #3, winner faces #2, and winner of that faces #1 for the gold.

It's good to mix it up. I try to find something slightly new to do each year (or something not done for a while) and this was a good call. I also like the double elimination round 1. We should get some painful matches early, and the randomization will be fun too. I quite like this structure, which, to be clear, was mostly just me implementing other people's ideas
