I do think No Way's music is pretty great, and somewhat singular but since its inception its lyrics drag it down quite a bit (I hate the chorus). I do like it more than I used to, but it's easy the weak link here.

Come Back is a lovely song, with a beautiful performance and cathartic conclusion that doesn't deserve the scratchy capture of S/T.

Red Mosquito is probably the best song on No Code. Also the name of a serviceable Pearl Jam board. It gets my vote.

Also, Red Mosquito should have been on Vitalogy. It has a lot more in common thematically with that album than No Code. It's almost like a No Code prequel.

The engine-falling-apart bridge in No Way is one of their finest ideas to be captured in the studio

A bit torn between Come Back and Red Mosquito. I really love Come Back. But Red Mosquito's the better song.

Yes, easily for me. Come Back is a song I like significantly more than I used to (for a time, it was one of my least favorite studio tracks), but it's still a distant third in this match. Red Mosquito's very solid, but I can't say I've ever felt it was a No Code highlight for me. It's a song I enjoy and admire, and never something I'd skip, but I'm not sure it's the song I would skip ahead to, either. But No Way's also been a favorite for me, from the aforementioned breakdown in the bridge, to Ed's vocal. Even the opening moments of guitar and treated drums perfectly capture the feel of the song and the enjoyment I get out of listening to it.

I love RM and won't be bummed of it wins. But saying goodbye to NW all be tough. NW is in a tier above. Easily my favorite song on Yield and a top 10 overall PJ track. :heartbeat:
