I should be voting for Happy When I'm Crying over Red Mosquito right now.

If Red Mosquito was still fresher this might be tougher. I like both these songs a lot, but Quick Escape has that great Zeppelin energy, and I tend to prefer my pearl jam huge and in your face, even when it's being contemplative, and Quick Escape has that in spades over the oddly quiet Red Mosquito. The mid song and outro solos are two of the most exciting musical moments in twenty years.
Vote for Quick Escape

My vote is RM. Quick Escape is nice but a little overrated around here. Maybe because if it’s newness

Could go either way for me. RM was a major standout of mine in years past, but the only time I listen to it nowadays is when I'm listening to No Code. QE has gotten added to a few different playlists I've compiled lately. QE wins, probably because of its newness.

I've never rated RM as high as some of you lot. Probably same with QE.
At this moment I'd prefer to hear QE so there.

This is actually a pretty decent matchup but '96 Pearl Jam featuring Jack Irons puts RM over the top.

Breaks my heart this matchup.
Red Mosquito is top 5 for me so for as much as I love Quick Escape, RM takes it.

As good as "Quick Escape" is, I'm once again finding it outmatched by a song that is more interesting to me in terms of composition and performance. The lilting riff of "Red Mosquito" is just a joy to listen to, and it's quite the contrast to it's blistering solos. And that outro is the cherry and cream on top.

That sounds about right to me.
