Someone asked on fb, "my friend doesn't know why o see them so often and go back to back shows and I don't know how to explain, thoughts?"

Made me think...why exactly do we do this and well, for me...

Its a personal experience that allows you to take a journey through your past and better enjoy the present...being in that place...at a show..at a PEARL JAM show...its an experience that goes beyond listening to a CD...its personal. Each and every time ive seen them is a different experience...and a celebration of life...our strugles and accomplishments..every obstacle that has either forced us to change course or led us in the right direction. Every demon we've faced and overcome. And to share that with so many others at the same time...it magical.

For me it's always been that you're going to get a completely different show every single time and they have so many songs that I don't get tired of hearing. It's become a little more predictable of what song is played when, particular in the encores, but what is coming in the main set from the opener on is still largely anyone's guess. And on a night when they are a clicking? There's still no other band I'd rather see perform live.
