2013 song tournament A: Thejambi Wins!

Okay team, lets kill some precious time.

This song tournament will have 16 teams, 10 songs per team, snake style draft. Only songs from pearl jam are eligible (so no solo stuff, etc, unless it was on a xmas single). Unreleased songs are fine. Covers are allowable only if we have studio versions of them.

I will not be participating, so if you are ever unsure if a song is okay just pm me.

When you draft a song you draft all iterations of it unless it existed under a different name (so light years and puzzles and games are different songs. Speed of Sound and Speed of sound demo are the same song, as are all three alone's and hold on's).

you will have 8 hours to make a pick, so if your turn is coming up PM me a list or name a proxy. it sucks if you are busy but having the draft drag on forever sucks

We'll randomize the draft order once we have our participants

A bit more about the rules, since we have a bunch of new participants this time out: During the draft when it is your turn you pick the song you want from whatever is still available. No song can be drafted twice, so if someone takes immortality before your turn it is gone. Everyone will need 10 songs on their team, so we'll be going fairly deep into the catalog.

Eligible Songs:
--Anything on a studio album
--Anything on a random album/compilation/soundtrack attributed to pearl jam
--Any studio recording from a Christmas single
--Any unreleased songs (finished/demo/etc) attributed to the band (studio or live)
--Any covers recorded in the studio (no live)
--Songs can only be drafted once (so although there are three studio versions of hold on, you can just draft it once).
--Songs that transformed into totally new songs can be drafted twice (Light years/Puzzles and games is the only thing that jumps out at me--there might be more)
--If you are ever not sure about a song PM me

New rule: Once you have your team take your 10 songs and make a playlist out of them


Once we have our playlists assembled they will be randomized and the teams go up against each other. People vote for the team that they like best. Voters can use whatever criteria they like (best flow/favorite songs/etc). Winners advance until there is only one team left.
