Shoes
So yesterday I was getting ready for a lunch date at a fancy spot with my wife (sans child) when I realized I really didn't have any appropriate shoes for the occasion. Sometime in the last few years, nice-looking casual footwear gave way to pairs of running shoes and work boots. I've got a pair of chukas that I wear for date nights, but as a father of a toddler, those nights are few and far between. I've got nothing in the way of a pair of slip-ons or topsiders I could wear with shorts on a restaurant patio to complement how nice my wife looks in her dress and sandals ensemble. There I was in the 85 degree April humidity in Texas wearing jeans and confining but perfectly fine looking Clarks.
What are some types of shoes to seek out while I attempt to remedy this conundrum? Sandals are now out unless we're talking backyard bbqs.

Re: Shoes
I want to pull off a nice pair of espadrilles, but I'm afraid the Toms stigma kind of killed that style.

Re: Shoes
I'm only a 13.5 and I can't find good shoes in Argentina, land of the Argo-sized. So I end up buying a bunch of shoes when I travel
