Good finale but I do wonder if the creators think the audience is rooting for the Byrdes. I want them all dead.

Now that I think about it, maybe that finale was their way of telling everyone who WAS still rooting for the Byrdes that they need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Jonah’s 180 was dumb. It was an otherwise appropriate ending. The Byrdes will always be under the delusion they’re almost out, but it’s just an endless cycle of death and misery. If there was another season, Rachel would be trying to find out about Ruth, the Chicago PD would be looking for Mel, and Camilla would be just as scary as Omar until one of her lieutenants took her out and took her place. I’m glad they ended it now that all of the interesting characters are dead.
We’ve watched the first three of this last batch. Really wondering how they’re gonna get out of everything alive. If they do. I’ve about decided they just move to Mexico and run the cartel.

I saw this series mainly because of the cast and the praise it got and man, what a letdown. Its vert flawed, almost a cartoonish soap opera thats obsessed with being a prestige drama or something.

Marty and Wendy in the traffic jam. That was great. He finally snapped.

It didn’t. It was occasionally great. Pre-Sopranos, we’d see it differently. But it’s not pre-Sopranos, and it happens to be in a time where you can watch it on Friday and then watch Better Call Saul on Monday and be reminded what top tier looks like now. It’s a pretty stark contrast.

well, i wont even compare to those because its worst for this one. But overall this thing was merely fine in season 1 and then it turned into a super weird soap opera.
but ey, happy you guys liked it.

It seemed needlessly cynical and fake to me. Wallowing in misery in an attempt to be Breaking Bad.

is it possible jonah shot wendy instead? he might've put together that she had ben killed, who he was close with.
i dunno, why else cut to black.

I'm not done yet but one of the problems I've seen in Ozark is the traveling the characters do.
Ozarks to Jeff City or Kansas City or Chicago or Mexico. They go all over and granted there's probably time lapses built in but it just seems like they travel pretty conveniently when the plot requires it.

I think he already knew that.
I loved the show. Good solid ending that felt like a natural progression though the ending being a bit up for debate is lame. But the endless cycle of misery and death is spot on and its good they ended it when they do.
They wouldnt have anyone to run the casino and launder the money right? With Ruth dead, would the FBI hold up their end of the bargain? Would the Byrds end up just working for the cartel again and laundering money?

I enjoyed it. Some great acting from Garner, Linney and Bateman. The plot holes came thick and fast, but that's television for you.
