Red Mosquito

Well, this wasn't last night, but I was very tired today after work and fell into a nice little nap. During the nap I dreamed that Argo and I moved in together as roommates, and he was doing a funny bit where he was pretending to be a weird Christian fundamentalist or something. Any time I listened to any rock music in my room I would hear him yell "Satan! That is the music of Satan! That is Satanic." And it was funny at first but then it started to get annoying, so I would ask him to stop. And he would stop for a while but then he'd pick it up again. It was so frustrating! I was getting ready to move out!

and yet theres still that song ..
comes crying
through the night

through all the vanished years
and broken dreams

had a work dream that lasted about 2 hours, so i'm cutting out of work 2 hours early today

I always hate the work dreams. Then you wake up and feel exhausted.

I somehow had Jewel's personal phone number. I gave her a call, very nervous, and her assistant answered. I said it's nobody, just someone who wanted to talk to her about something. Jewel frustratingly accepted and asked what I wanted. I said I'm nobody, but I write songs sometimes and thought she might want to hear what I have and if she likes it, she can buy a song from me or whatever. She reluctantly said she'll listen. And then I played her the wrong song, but she seemed to enjoy it (somehow I'm in a car with her at this point, midway through the song as she's listening). She thinks of her own lyrics to the music and vocal melody and I can tell she's into it. I say I know the vocal melody is a bit monotone but it's not a finished product yet and she can do whatever she wants with it. And then she's creating like a songwriter competition show and she wants me to write songs for her and try to win. I woke up in a good, proud mood. The song was very vivid in my dream. It's not a song I actually wrote but sounds like something I'd write, but a little better. I don't remember it anymore.

Twice in about 2 weeks I’ve had a dream about 2 different people I knew from elementary or junior high school. I haven’t seen either since then, or thought about either of them since. I have no idea what they look like as adults. But I had long dreams where each were adults and main characters in whatever story was happening in my head. Brains are weird.

Last night I dreamt that Justin Hawkins of The Darkness and I were sampling various types of empanadas, which we were picking out from a cast iron sheet that was stuck to the wall in front of us. I don't know how they didn't slide off, it felt like they were stuck there magnetically. We were also playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2

I had a dream that my grandfather left me a daguerreotype of Thomas Jefferson signed by Thomas Jefferson (pretty sure that that technology didn’t exist when he was still alive), and that I patronizingly brushed it aside until I saw it was valued at $5.1 million.

He missed it by 13 years

I don't remember the dream but it scared me enough that I screamed out loud in real life and my wife had to wake me up. I was shaking. My heart was going a mile a minute. It was terrifying.

Had a dream that I was in a pool and an alligator grabbed me and took me underwater. I lived and later I received a written apology from the alligator.

I was somewhere hanging out with trag. Can’t remember the setting. Trag you were planning a trip where you were gonna visit various cities and try the coffee at a bunch of different places in each city. I was skeptical about this plan because seriously how much coffee are you really gonna drink in one day.
