So Wash was one of the openers I saw in 2013 in Brooklyn. I remember at the time being surprised how good eddie sounded, because I had been used to his vocal decline.

It wasn't until seeing the version from Vancouver that i realized he has declined even further from 2013 (which while not surprising is sad). But Im not sure what's different. I think it is just less....support in his voice? Like....it just seems to lack the same....base of power and support. Is it just the recording quality? Like there is a rougher quality to his voice that sounds less pleasing but I can't describe,.and he just seems less stable and struggles harder for the higher notes

Is it in my head? what do people think of how these compare?

Also wow nobody has talked about Wash in 12 years? This is a great song. I didn't know it when I saw them in 2013 and I loved it from the first time I heard.

Also to further think of his vocal decline, I feel like his high notes used to have this ethereal quality and now they sound more yelly but I can't put my finger on the subtleties of why.

He's 60 and has been destroying his voice for 30+ years. We all know this.

I don't mean why it happened, I mean why I feel like it sounds different or creates a different effect. I can't tell what it is about his voice that actually sounds different.

I do wonder what Eddie would sound like had he never smoked. It seems like....almost blasphemy to harm such a beautiful special voice.
