Any idea why this was never part of Lost Dogs? I mean seriously, if they're going to put Leaving Here and Gremmie Out of Control on there, then wtf wouldn't they put Leatherman on disc 1? That still pisses me off a bit for some reason...

Anyways, recently went back and listened to the original version of this from the GTF single... probably one of their more underrated b-sides and deserved more attention via Lost Dogs inclusion. Jeff is doing something kinda funky with that bass line in this version that I never really noticed before.... Oh well, hopefully this will make its way onto Stray Cats!

The studio version is so much better than any live version.

I was never a huge fan of the live versions of this song. Pretty boring actually. But, like you, I went back recently and listened to that studio take and liked it a lot. There's a lot more going on in the song than I realized.

Not sure why this wasn't included on LD, but I'm not bothered by that either. Its easily accessible. I want the stuff that's never seen the light of day.

im not sure why they left it off, maybe there was something they didnt really like about the original recording and didnt want to rerecord it or somehting, but they were playing it live a pretty good amount in 2000 so you would think that they like the song. possibly they have had intentions all along of another lost dogs and wanted to keep something back for it?

Though I agree they've never managed to come close to capturing how enjoyable the studio version is, I'm always glad to see this one pop up in the live sets. It's a cool little song.

This song is way cooler than I thought it was 10 years ago.
I'm still pissed it wasn't included on Lost Dogs.
