I feel like hipsters gave way to the striving, young professional drone types, in the same way that hippies gave way to yuppies in the 80s.

I feel like the definite end of talking about "hipsters" was the 2016 election, though it was certainly moving out of vogue before that.

You're not supposed to be hip in your 30s. At a certain point trying to keep up with all the trends is just sad.

Hipsters were forgiven when Pitchfork introduced the wider internet to Grimes' music. It's all about the wokes now.
