a good friend from vancouver drove down last night..we all had breakfast at the duck in diner..it has an awesome horseshoe counter that we bellied up to..todays breakfast special was pork chops and apple sauce with hashbrowns..my friend ordered that and it was good..i had 2 eggs over easy with hashbrowns and white toast..my buddy puts ketchup on his hash browns and it makes me want to gag...anyway, he went home today..came home to a delivery of my baseball gloves that i forgot to bring..my neighbor was nice enough to send them up...my wife made the blackberry jam today as well..i'm going to hit golf balls now

i look forward to more posts from doug, and if i'm being honest...i hope it morphs into a Funny Farm situation for him, where he gets to know the townsfolk all too well.

funny you should mention that...i ran into the neighbors today that we met last time we were here...they're around our age and quite nice..he's from london and she's a local...i was bringing in the trash can and they were driving up their driveway and stopped for a chat..they were headed down to seattle for the night to t-mobile park..home of the mariners..although they were not going to a mariners game...tonight the stadium is for motley crew, def leppard, joan jett and poison...they invited themselves over for drinks this weekend while our friends are here and they promised me a few bags of salt for when the snow comes...

i'm always leary of people who invite themselves over.

he's throwing a change up there..check out that funky wrist..anyway, why did the Mets trade randy meyers?
mets officials, in fact, told myers when they traded him to the cincinnati reds following the 1989 season -- in a deal that sent fellow closer john franco to NY -- that they were afraid he was going to injure himself or wear himself out in the weight room...go broncos
