February is almost upon us, which means it's time to start our March Madness tournament, which will run us through April.
I thought we could return to the Survivor format for this year to identify the participants in the final tournament, since I love a nice complex structure that only I can follow. So here we go:
The previous 8 winners (Release, Go, Last Exit, Tremor Christ, Corduroy, Hail Hail, Do the Evolution, and Insignificance) are automatically in the final 32 and are excluded from the Survivor rankings.
We will have separate survivor (where you vote for the songs you want ELIMINATED) tournaments for the 11 studio albums, Lost Dogs, and the remaining misc. songs. The top two songs from the 11 studio albums, and the top song from Lost Dogs and misc songs will join the 8 previous champions in a 32 song tournament.
We will have new matches every weekday and one match for the weekend. Should take about 50 rounds to complete.

Top 8 - last 8 MM winners
11-21: Survivor of each album (in rough chronological order though after Binaural we go Lost Dogs, Misc, Riot Act, S/T, Gigaton, Backspacer, Lightning Bolt)
22-32: Runner up for 11 primary studio albums, seeded in same order as 11-21
