Siblings. Do you have any? Do you like them? Are they simila
r to you in any way?
I just found out my sister is coming to visit me in a couple of weeks and I am stoked about it, and it got me thinking about siblings. My sister and I didn't get along at all growing up, all the way up to college age, but now as grownups we're the best of friends.
What's your SS (sibling situation)

My brothers and I were assholes to one another until about mid-teens, when dust ups actually started resulting in injury. Kinda chilled out a bit after that. It wasn't worth it.
Sister is quite a bit younger so we never really had much in common. But now we get along great.

Had two brothers and one of them died. They were only ten months apart in age while I’m three years older. They were far more alike than I am/was with either of them. They were quite close until basically a woman came between them.

Re: Siblings. Do you have any? Do you like them? Are they si
I have 4 siblings. My first sister (the one who is coming to visit) is turning 33 today, she lives in Austin. My brother is 31 and lives in upstate New York. The three of us share a mother and a father. Then there are two kids from my dad's second marriage who are technically half-siblings but we're very, very close. They are 20 (little sister) and 18 (little brother) and live with my dad in California.
I had a sort of adversarial relationship with my two full siblings when we were growing up, but we get along great now and are very close. I've always had a very special relationship with my two younger siblings. I had already moved to Argentina when they were growing up in Colombia so I'd see them over the holidays and bring gifts, take them places, etc. So they always saw me almost like a cool uncle of sorts.

Re: Siblings. Do you have any? Do you like them? Are they si
My brother is 11 years older than me and also has his birthday today. I've always gotten on really well with him and we are actually very similar in a lot of things. Dude is a legitimate genius who finished school as dux (think valedictorian) when he was 2 full years younger than everyone else in his year. Went on to graduate uni as the youngest ever doctor in the state (at that time). Loves his sport and loves to laugh, never drank or smoked, all around good guy. He's a very good doctor who is very well respected in our local medical circles. He's defacto married with 4 kids who all grew up in a very busy, if very messy and dysfunctional family home. He isn't a particularly good son, although my parents put his wife through hell as they never really accepted her, so I kinda get why.
My sister is 9 and 1/2 years older than me (yep, I was a full on mistake it seems) and she is very different to my brother and I. She isn't academic at all and has pretty much lived for her son since he was born 24 or so years ago. She hasn't worked in all that time and spends her days hanging out with my Mum and driving her son around everywhere. Her husband is a twat and I don't think there's any love left there. I still get on fine with her but only in small doses. Every time she comes over it costs me at least 2 bottles of wine. She was a great sister to me when I was growing up and would take me everywhere as a kid. She is also a good daughter and I am really glad she's here to do the bulk of the heavy lifting in looking after our Mum.

1 full brother
1 half brother
2 stepsisters on one side
1 stepsister on the other
1 stepbrother
I guess 1 ex-step sister?
I'm oldest. Don't really talk to anyone but my 2 brothers. One can't really talk back, other than to say he wants to go see any movie with cars in it. He's obsessed with cars. What does he want for his birthday? Cars. What does he want for Christmas? Cars. Sweet kid though.
The other is married with kids and seems to be making a lot of money, which kinda let's me off the hook so I can be a fuck up. We get along fine, from a distance.
