i think in the 1800s id be a inn keeper. bartender to many people would shoot you when drunk. Couldn't be a sheriff. cow hand maybe.

as a caveman i would be fucked. id get chased by something and would just give up. why? i cant walk across a parking lot barefoot because of tiny pebbles. running across rocks and sticks? nope

in egypt only if i was friends with a pharaoh.

1800s : barely. I could probably help out with some theories or teach. Maybe get famous off the work of others.

in ancient egypt: I'd probably be murdered as some kind of evil wizard.

caveman: if there were some berries and water nearby, for a little while.

In each case, we’d all died of dysentery relatively quickly. We take our clean and readily available water supply for granted.

It's highly dependent on what status you're thrown into.

Do I have maids? If yes, I'm fine. If no, I'm definitely dying of dysentery like Spike said.

I would thrive in any era, other than the current one.

I think I would be stuffed in any hardcore earlier era. I am a pussy and soft as hell.

I agree with 'ello as well though - it is kinda dependent on what status you are born into, particularly the 1800s. Assuming I'm still in Oz am I the son of a nobleman/farmer/soldier (in which case I'd perhaps be kinda OK) or am I born into poverty as the son of a convict (in which case I'm fucked)?

Whichever way I would absolutely love the lack of traffic though.
