whether I should turn down the easy money, or go into credit card debt doing whatever I like.

How easy is the money?

Easy enough that I don't have to put much effort in, but not so easy that I don't have to show up.

What else do you have going on tomorrow?

It's probably better to get it over with. You don't need another week of thinking about it.

Go the safe route until you save more money so you don't go into too much debt too quickly.

I postponed my root canal because my tooth hasn't been hurting for over a couple months now. I may not need one. But if your tooth hurts I say get it taken care of ASAP.

Do it. Bad oral health is a major trigger of heart issues and we aint getting any younger.

Nothing really, but I’d have to wait a week to get the tooth crowned, and during that time, my wife’s out of town for several days, so worried if something happens with the tooth while she’s gone, I won’t have any backup for the kid.

The tooth feels fine, but hurt yesterday when they attempted to drill out the temp filling. They gave me two more rounds of numbing agent but it was still sensitive, so root canal it is.

I’d only be postponing it for a week!

whether we should replace the carpeting on our second floor (which includes my office and all the bedrooms) with hardwood or with new carpeting (note: the quotes that we got for new carpeting turned out to be higher than the hardwood, but with hardwood we need to buy area rugs, which increases the cost). also, with wood, it'll be a week job and require us to move shit, as opposed to the carpeting, which will be done in a day.

no. carpet holds onto things no matter what.

I can go either way with carpeting or hardwood in bedrooms. Common areas and hallways should definitely be hardwood or some other cleanable surface (laminate, vinyl, tile, etc.).
