I kinda feel like I’ve seen a Death Cab show at some point, but I couldn’t 100% definitively tell you yes or no.

Same goes for a band called Crossfade.

I can't say with 100% certainty that I ever actually saw an INXS show before, but I would be a little surprised if I hadn't as they were always playing here back in the day.

How hard are you guys partying that you can't remember whether or not you've seen a band live? Or is that a dig at Death Cab's music being forgettable?

Hey man, I'm talking about the 80's here! If it was after 1987 (when I was 16) then all bets are off as far as my memory goes!

I once had a three hour conversation about wanting to see Ministry live and I’d seen them twice. And I was sober.

There are no sober Ministry fans.

There are a whole load of bands like the Lemonheads or Pavement that I feel I must have seen at festivals in the 90s

I wasn't sure if I had seen Public Image Ltd, so I looked it up and no, I had seen General Public.

I think I saw Pulp, but not sure; maybe it was Lush.

I may have seen Radiohead when they opened for Alanis Morissette, but it was likely near the end of their set when I saw/heard.

I went to one Warped Tour show, so there are a bunch of those bands that I maybe saw perform. Blink 182?

Haha, I just looked it up - River Rave 1996 at Great Woods and BOTH Lush and Pulp were on the bill. I might not have watched both sets though.

I figured Bammer for the sort of guy that kept all his show tickets and mounted them in a frame or under coffee table glass.

I’ve been to Roskilde four times, and despite there being 50% girls in a very large festival, I always put going to concerts first there, so probably saw 100+ over the four times. Sure there’s some therr I barely remember.

Here’s the 1996 lineup:

Don’t think I’ve ever seen the Foo Fighters or the Dave Matthews Band, or did I?

What
What I mean is, I was 17-21 the first three times, and Roskilde is a giant party. The camp is crazy fun, lots of people that watch 1-2 concerts a day the four main days (thursday-sunday), and just party for a full week (sunday to sunday). I didn’t count (100k people), but it always felt like 50/50 with the genders there.

I did some partying as well, but mostly focused on seeing all the great concerts there.

In my experience, a very large percentage, including most people I ever spent time in a camp site there with, or travelled with, went there to flirt, drink and party, and see a few big concerts as part of that party. I went there for the music. People at my camp thought it was weird I would see 5-6 concerts a day.
