I hate voting against You're So Vague. A stomping track, and the sort of instrumentation that I'm sure all of us would welcome back into the fold. But the lyrical homage to Simon's "You're So Vain" is a little on the corny side.
Auto-pilot, for me, perfectly encapsulates the peak of this band's reign. Lanegan leading, with support from Oliveri. They didn't even need Homme on the mic to seal this one. It has a Desert Sessions, collaborative vibe. And it's incredible.

Auto Pilot is such a good song. The vibe is just....you are on a car trough the dessert with those guys.

I hadn't heard either of these before but from the first few beats of You're so Vague I'm down with it. Like Ello said, the instrumentation here is phenomenal.
Auto Pilot didn't hit quite as hard, but I sense that given time it would be my choice between the two.
But not today.

I don’t think I had either but came to the opposite conclusion - Auto Pilot has great interplay between guitars that I think sucks you into the song more where You’re So Vague kind of just beats you over the head. Both are good tracks but Auto Pilot is way better to my ears.

I lied - I had heard Auto Pilot on my recent run through Rated R, but I was listening at work and must have been lost in an e-mail or something when it came on. I haven't listened to a full QotSA album before this week I don't think. Oh wait - I listened through ...Like Clockwork a few times, but that was all.
