Unbelievable coincidence. I just dropped my kids off at school, and on the way there my 11 year old mentioned this show. She hasn’t seen it but could still describe it. Evidently people in games get shot.

Loved this and have am currently rewatching. Season 2 when?
The reality show they put out is very good as well. Surprisingly good production values.

I don't like the reality show. Contestants not dying was very disappointing. It's like the whole point of the game

Totally fair. Hopefully, in season 2, they introduce murder.

There's no way the reality show isn't complete and utter dogshit. I don't believe you, E9.

Well, I like it. Even without the murder.

They really should have just been up front about it. Right at the beginning of the episode they should state there will not be any deaths in this version of the show. Instead, they build anticipation, introduce some contestants, the game finally starts, and... !! Ink packet explodes on their shirts. They don't even shoot them with paintballs or anything. I turned it off right then and there.

How do you know the “ink” isn’t radioactive material that will slowly kill them over the course of fifteen years, hmmm? Did you ever think of that, Einstein?

That's a really good point. We won't really know for ages.

Two eps in to season 2. On par with season 1 quality-wise.

Yeah, this season ended up a bit of a dud, unfortunately. It was never terrible but it felt like it was sniffing its own farts while going nowhere. Gi-hun inexplicably keeping tons of useful information to himself didn’t help.
Just finished "season 3." It was fine; I enjoyed it. The writing remains awful, stretching scenes that should be 45 seconds into entire episodes. It’s good in spite of that.
I'm hoping the rumors about Fincher doing an American season are true -- they set it up at the end of the finale with a bigger-than-you'd-expect reveal.

I finished it too. It was a fitting end. I agree with some scenes dragging out longer than needed. Very interesting surprise at the end.
I’m tired of watching violence and murder like it’s depicted here so I’m not sure I’d watch anymore if they made another sequel.

This needs to be watched in Korean with English subs, right? I couldn’t take the first five minutes with English dubs seriously.

Definitely yes. Although I think I read the English translation Netflix did is awful. That said, the VIP dialogue is horrifically bad so the subs may be spot on.
