I move ti keep this thread distinct and independent of the baked goods threads.
It’s about batter. You don’t bake batter. You fry it.
Batteredburgers battered sausages battered Mars bars battered ice cream
Etc
These are all fried foods in this part of the world and a whole new world of dining for you my American fiends. You might just discover something battered and fried you like.

This sparks a very clear memory of being at a friend’s house with a lighter and melting whatever we could get our hands on out on his patio. Mostly lego pieces.
