It's not really that tough a round.

I like Severed Hand, especially the guitar part that runs through the second verse, and how Eddie sounds on the 'have no fear...' part. But as I've said elsewhere, Severed Hand needs to sound bigger. It should be an overwhelming song, and it isn't


Come Back is a pretty beautiful song with some really winning moments from Eddie, but it's up there with Army Reserve, Parachutes, and Marker in terms of songs that the screechy S/T production really does a disservice to. This song should have the warmth of a memory before it falls apart, but it starts cool and broken instead of shattering later

Comatose is one of the best incendiary bursts of energy in the catalog. Still a five star song

Severed Hand by a good mile for me.

Comatose.

Easily Comatose. Severed Hand's the lowpoint of S/T's first half; I've warmed quite a bit to Come Back over the years (along with Army Reserve, which has gone far to strengthen S/T's second half which I always thought was pretty weak). But it's still Comatose.

I'm going with Severed Have myself

I've said relatively recently that Avocado has been the biggest grower for me in the band's catalog, going from an album that I felt ruined a great band to a record that sits quite comfortably with several of its brethren. "Come Back" has mirrored that journey. Years ago, I wouldn't have voted for it in favor of nearly any song, but now it's one of my favorites from the album.

I've grown to appreciate "Comatose" more as the years have passed as well, and I've always been pretty fond of "Severed Hand," but I have to go through that open door and "Come Back."

Comatose is overrated, but will probably be eliminated here.

I used to LOVE comatose. Now i really like it, but it has fallen due to eds vocal performance. It actually hurt my ears a bit.

Severed Hand has a more adventurous vocal performance that showcases his baritone and his ability to push. It also has one of the best bridges he's ever written.

Severed Hand for longevity.
