Cropduster vs. Parachutes

Easy vote for Parachutes. No shade for cropduster. Two really good quirky songs, but Parachutes just glides along to someplace special

This one hurts. Two song titles that make me warm and fuzzy anytime I see them on any kind of list.

Cropduster, easy

I used to feel nothing about Cropduster, and I would read the posts here, and give it another chance, and another chance, and yet another chance. For years. And then somehow post-Gigaton actually, the nuances of this thing hit me properly and it’s been steadily rising up the list, especially this past year. Pre-2023, I would have said easy vote for Parachutes, but now I am voting Cropduster. That a song could finally hit 22+ years after its release speaks to the genius of this band.

Both phenomenal songs.

Parachutes is truly special and this may be the last time I can piss Higgs and Wease off with my love for it.

Both great but Cropduster has the edge.

Cropduster is one my favorites from Riot Act but Parachutes is not even close to a favorite of mine from Self Titled.

cropduster took a long time for me to appreciate, too. it's not a favorite or anything, but i enjoy it a lot more now than i did then. and it smokes parachutes, then and now. easy vote.
