Strangest Tribe vs. I Got Shit
Ooof that’s EXACTLY how I feel about them. These days strangest tribe does more for me and is more interesting. But my god did I Got Id shake me when I was younger.stip wrote:Strangest Tribe is more interesting, and I might be more likely to play it these days, but in its prime (for me) I Got Shit took me places Strangest Tribe never has
You can tell Neil Young's amp is turned up SO LOUD on his parts. Mike has never been able to recreate his part, although he holds his own live. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall during recording of this track.liebzz wrote:Definitely I Got Id for me. The studio version with Neil is top tier for me. Strangest Tribe is good and interesting, but I don’t get lost in it the same way I do for those bent notes in I Got Id.
Perhaps it’s similar to that documentary Jakob Dylan hosted on those 60s guys where Neil Young comes into the studio at the end and just shreds the place up with a guitar jam that basically outclassed the entirety of the documentary. Like a “ugh…let me show you how it’s done…”oftheearth wrote:You can tell Neil Young's amp is turned up SO LOUD on his parts. So incredible to see Neil like that in his element.liebzz wrote:Perhaps it’s similar to that documentary Jakob Dylan hosted on those 60s guys where Neil Young comes into the studio at the end and just shreds the place up with a guitar jam that basically outclassed the entirety of the documentary. That scene and the scene where the Buffalo Springfield guys hear Expecting to Fly and realize Neil has surpassed them all and their days are numbered.Strat wrote:Oh my i LOVED that scene.
