in this thread, The Argonaut instructs us on that most valuable of soft skills: emotional intelligence. the lesson will entail 1) recognizing emotions within one’s self, 2) articulating those emotional in a context-appropriate manner, and, last but not least, 3) recognizing and acknowledging the emotions and intentions of others.

once we finish this lesson, we will be a better community. a community in which each word we utter is appropriate to the moment, true to our inner selves, and beneficial to the collective.

take it away, Argo.

the Alex account is driven largely by intense feeling, as it is a living emblem of Hume’s axiom that reason is a slave to the passions.

I'm not sure if this thread is a sarcastic crack at the "Argo is autistic" meme or if Alex truly does understand me better than you other mopes who think I am autistic

OK, so you know I'm not autistic but you're hurt that Ia am mean to you in PMs and ignore you when you confide in me. So this thread is sarcastic, but not in the way I originally thought

I don't think Argo is autistic. But I do think he occasionally pretends to be for the bit.

Tell the factory to give you a raise or you’re walking.

I'm just trying to savor this factory experience while I can. I sincerely doubt I will still be working there in six months. 50/50 on whether I get laid off or take a position in the civil service
