I'm listening to the album right now but I'm not really listening. Hearing it in spurts on my phone while doing chores. McCready's guitar stands out to me, and Ed's voice seems like it's better than that stylish shit he was doing in the 2010s. Initial assessment of this thing is "familiar in a good way."

i got through the first song, despite wanting to turn it off after 20 seconds; and then got about 10 seconds into the second song and had to turn it off

i think that means i can still post in this thread

It's kind of similar to when I listened to Gigaton, but I think it's a worse album than Gigaton. Truthfully I think I just don't like Pearl Jam anymore

this is where i am at

i don't care for modern PJ but the first 4-6 albums have such a strong presence in my life I hang onto those

I don't want to waste time in PJ chat debating any of the new album stuff with the normies

I still havent attempted to listen to any more

I just don't want to waste my time and injure my brain

and hate the band more

and hate the people more who like the music

I don't want to lose respect for them

because their brains are excited by clearly inferior music

I don't want to do that or say those things

so I won't
