Red Mosquito

I thought I was a Jonathan Wilson fan. Turns out everything he did after this album failed to connect with me, so mostly, I'm a fan of this, especially the 2-LP version (sounds so rich). If you like CSNY and America-infused lonely west psychedelic folk rock with a healthy dose of guitar, you should check this out. Guest appearances by Chris Robinson, Andy Cabic (a favorite musician and human) and others.

I’ll have to check this out. I can remember my BiL telling me to check out Rare Birds, and I never finished it, but I liked what I heard. I know of him more for his work with Father John Misty.

Wilson is cool. Had trouble fully attaching to his 2023 record but he knows his shit and I'm glad that musicians like him exist.

Like dad, I love his work with FJM.
