This movie is so amazing. You have to approach it as a dark comedy from the start and lean in. Don't read anything about it, just watch it. I ended up watching it 2x in the same day! First alone and then with my wife.

Has anyone seen it? Feel free and use spoiler tag to discuss.

I love when comedy gets so dark that become horror, like Hereditary.

I've never seen this but in a few reviews of The Coffee Table, they referenced Hereditary. I'm going to watch it soon. I'm not a big horror movie guy but dark comedy sign me up.

To me Hereditary works better as a dark comedy than as horror. But some folks consider it the greatest horror movie of the last decade. Its really fascinating.

I'm excited to watch but gonna wait to see it with my wife but she won't watch a horror movie before bed so I don't know when we will ever get around to it with young kids, lol.
