My buddy was in town for an Eddie Vedder solo show, so I met him out at Chili’s early. We were the only ones in there, so we made friends with the bartender and started in on the rum and cokes, eventually getting free drinks etc.

Me and this dude used to sneak up to the front at shows. Would sneak backstage. All sorts of hijinks. We started talking about those escapades, which eventually pumped me up to try and sneak into the show that evening.

I was blind and unsuccessfully tried getting in multiple times, so understandably, the venue eventually called the cops. They shook me down out front… good cop/bad cap… diffused the situation and let me go after confirming I had no priors.

I’m honestly impressed with the sneaking into shows and backstage, considering you’re a tall boi and all.

surely that would set off alarm bells.

The key is to act like you belong there, and talls naturally command more reverence than shorts.
