Would love some recommendations from across the pond. We watch a lot of stuff on BritBox. Some favorites are:

Shetland
Karen Pirie
Luther
MI-5
Reyka
Instant Gardener
Escape to the Country
Vera
Anything with Nigella in it
DCI Banks

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Line of Duty and Press were excellent. Vigil, The North Water, Blue Lights and The Responder were also alright. There's also Brassic which is an excellent British TV show, but it's not a BBC production. Oh and I remember really liking The Hour which has Ben Whishaw and Dominic West. That's a BBC series.

Black Books is the best.

Well, maybe second to Nigella's boons.

I also forgot to mention this. I think I saw one episode but never saw the rest even though I really liked it:

I watch Bargain Hunt every fucking day

and obviously there's original Masterchef (and Masterchef Professionals)

if you like comedy, I really enjoy Gavin & Stacey; it had James Corden when he was actually funny and nice
