i dont think there is any easy answer. we did discuss bringing back the loser is the VP
do away with the electoral college and go for the popular vote. but then people say texas, cali, florida and new york decide the election.
id say instead of the electoral college the way it is, change it to a 1 or 2 pt system like boxing
you win you get 2 pts for that state. you lose you get 1
or better yet
just accept you're a cog in the machine and it doesnt matter who wins the other 50% of the population are effed

Paper ballots
Voter ID (free of charge)
Bring back the Athenian practice of exiling one person every year, determined by vote.

It should be a random lottery. We shouldn't be electing anyone president who wants to be president.

Or limit the power of government so that it doesn't matter as much who wins.

you should vote for whomever you want, and then move to the states run by that person with all the other people who voted for them, and then have an all out war with the other states and whomever wins runs the country for the next 4 years. rinse, repeat

Ballot drop-off boxes are kinda crazy, right? In this low trust society?

Maybe we should separate national elections from state ones. National elections could be uniform.

I'd support an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that mandates re-drawing district lines after every election so that equal numbers of left- and right- leaning voters reside in every district. I don't care how expensive and logistically difficult it would be. And while I think it's naive to think the data doesn't exist, I would at least be willing to kowtow to the idea of a secret ballot by having Switzerland handle it for us.
Until politicians have to convince instead of pander, to compete instead of gerrymander to keep their jobs, there is no such thing as election reform.
