The flights I’ve taken in recent years have been rough. I feel like global warming is causing all sorts of shit.

Remember when a piece of that Alaska Airlines plane just ripped off midflight last year? The fuck?

Feels like crashes are happening (or being reported) more frequently than ever.

I understand it’s still the safest mode of transportation, but the idea of flying again legitimately makes me nervous.

its scary how little training you need to get your license

I'm not sure how many hours he has logged so far.

Private pilot: You need at least 40 hours of flight time, including 20 hours of flight training with an instructor and 10 hours of solo flight.
Commercial pilot: You need at least 250 hours of flight time, including solo and as the pilot-in-command.
Airline transport pilot: You need at least 1,500 hours of flight time.

There’s video of the Toronto crash now, hard to tell what happened, but it seems like it was a hard landing. From the fireball and the violence of the roll, I’m shocked everyone survived.
