Bee Girl has aged kind of poorly, and Love Reign O'er Me is Eddie's most impressive performance of that entire decade.

it's hard to articulate, and so now I wonder if it's just that I don't like it as much and it's me.

For me, Bee Girl has agreed really well.

But I'm still voting for Reign, even though I usually never vote for covers over originals.

Kind of surprised LRo'M is running away with it (unless we're talking the VH1 Rock Honors performance). I thought Bee Girl was somewhat beloved.

I really like "Bee Girl" -- there is something disarmingly sweet about Eddie circa 1993 singing a cautionary tale about the emptiness of fame to a fictional character from a music video. I find his delivery of the line, "Anxious is the present/Unwrap your gifts, take your time" really affecting.

Eddie kills it on "Love Reign O'er Me" but that's about it -- it's a pretty straightforward karaoke-style cover. Nothing wrong with that necessarily, but I find "Bee Girl" more enjoyable.
