Hurts voting against Quick Escape in round 1, the gigaton song that most augers Dark Matter

just the way the jam at the end feels like the guys playing off each other rather than layering on parts in semi isolation

That end of Quick Escape is very good but the rest of the song doesn’t do much for me. Even Flow is a big part of why I fell in love with music and I hope it pulls away with the vote.

How is this so close? Quick Escape is a fine song, but everyone voting for it over Even Flow should be ashamed of themselves.

lol no it doesn't. It literally sounds like they all tracked their individual parts on 'Solo' mode.

Total absence of shame
Even if I consider the redux version that [for the most part] gets rid of the Ten sound. It's still very much a Ten track.
I mean I dug it back then, and I dig it still played live, even if nowadays it's more fun to watch the audience go nuts.
But if I have to pee at a PJ concert, or grab a beer, I make damn sure it's during Even Flow.
Played [as of today] 911 times out of 1,110 shows. You absolutely
can get too much of a good thing.
QE has it's quirks, sure. But it's also fresh and fun.
They still got it, they're grooving like mofos with Zeppy twist.
IDK, to me it's like saying "Yeah I still love my better half, but I love everything we did when we first met way more".

I've never really been a big Even Flow fan, but Quick Escape is one of my least favorites PJ songs.

even flow in the Dave K / Dave A era was a different beast. slower, groovier, bluesier
even flow in the Matt C era is <redacted>
and yes i cannot separate the live experience from the album in this tournament (sacrilege!)
there is a special place in my heart for slower original even flow
but that person is dead now
apparently
