I love a lot of the NIN soundtrack (it’s been on rotation in my car for the past week) but it was a little too overpowered at various times because the visuals and performances couldn’t compete.
I would have liked to spend more time in The Grid.
I’d rate the movie a full letter grade higher if it had zero dialogue.
I love that Gillian Anderson just decided to become a British person at this phase of her life (in reality).
Kosinski, Cillian, Sam Flynn, and Wilde were missed.
Anderson and Peters were good. Leto was Leto. Bridges was just playing The Dude. The rest of the cast was forgettable.
Overall, I liked it, but it ultimately feels like wasted opportunity to renew interest in the franchise.

TIL: the studio wanted the music credited to NIN instead of “just’ Atticus and Trent, for some reason.

This is a franchise that I have 0 nostalgia for, so I have no interest in this

Even as a kid when I loved anything with a whiff of Sci-Fi/Fantasy I thought Tron was boring.

Oh, what might’ve been. Thanks for nothing, Jared Leto.

i really wanted to see it when they released the first trailer but my interest has faded a lot, specially when i saw which movies the director did. Yikes.

It’s actually decent (IMAX required) but Leto is box office poison and this plot should have been a bridge video game leading to an actual Legacy sequel with Hedlund, Cillian Murphy, Boxleitner, and Wilde.

I can't imagine there was ever a chance that there would be enough people interested in Tron in 2025 to justify greenlighting this movie.

I was out as soon as I saw it was set in the real-world instead of the TRON digital realm. What the fuck do you think I'm watching a TRON movie to see?

having said that, the original Tron was scored by a trans woman so I understand the Wachowskis' love of it and continuing its legacy

I'm in the minority it seems, but I liked the original a lot. Didn't care for the bland sequel, and this looked worse.
